r-pac TRCE + Blockchain Meets Sustainability and Transparency Standards
How iconic Canadian luxury outerwear brand Moose Knuckles built provable authenticity, regulatory readiness, and a direct consumer channel into every garment — all on a single dual-sensor TwinTag, powered by r-pac CNCT.
The Problem
Turn Obligation into Opportunity
Saga Furs, a premier auction house offering the broadest selection of superior furs from strictly regulated European sources, sought a robust solution to meet growing demands for supply chain transparency and traceability.
By 2026 the major fashion brands will require that all animal based products used in the luxury market can be traced back to the farm. Ensuring that fur products could be tracked from farm to retail was essential to align with sustainability goals and upcoming industry requirements for certified animal-based products.
The Solution
A single tag for end-to-end traceability
The TRCE solution was deployed along with innovative TwinTag dual-frequency NFC/RFID technology to provide end-to-end traceability. The program provided individual skin traceability back to certified farms, including the country of origin, certification policy, farm identification number and Furmark Authenticity.
