The Problem
One of Europe’s largest fashion retailers embedded RFID into the majority of their products at the factory level. The company experienced issues with missing tags, incorrect tag placement and double tagging on their footwear, which led to time-consuming and costly repacking processes at their DC’s.
The Solution
The retailer deployed a Bulk QC & Pack Validation concept at their footwear factories. The VSBL solution automated 100% quality control and packing / shipping accuracy at all vendor factories. Using RFID Tabletop Validation Stations, we ensured accurate tagging and packing of every item and consistent and reliable in-store readability. The tabletops were simple to install by the factories themselves, greatly improving deployment timelines. Additionally, the tabletops perform in both online and offline modes, ensuring the data is captured and transferred to the retailer with the latest insights on their orders, despite production environments without a stable internet connection.

100% tagging accuracy for all products flowing into the Distribution Centers – improving speed and efficiency of the operations; generating significant savings on repacking and retagging; and boosting retail sales as goods are shipped quicker to the stores.
Additionally, the data from the factories gave better insights into the order status and packaging at the factories, helping the retailer predict expected shipping dates.
